-Besides being music director at public radio station WYSO, Juliet Fromholt also hosts a great music show on the station (91.3) called Kaleidoscope. Great indi and alt rock is topped off with a generous serving of local artists playing and being interviewed live on the show.

Dan Thrasher did a great article this past Friday on forthcoming local music releases for 2024. Subscribe to the Dayton Daily News to read his top notch coverage of local artists. At the least, pick up Friday editions! I think a physical newspapers' "user interface" is superlative! Support journalism- part of the lifeblood of our democracy.
Jan 20 2024- Kathy and Barry Leggett, Jeff Badiner & Larry Maglicco run/administer Dayton Music Scene group on Facebook, "a safe place to share ideas and talk about current events in the music industry." It's always loaded up with new posts.
For past headliners- see bottom of page.

Dayton.com, a web site created and supported by the Dayton Daily News and their owners, Cox Enterprises have a vibrant and informative column called "what to do" where many live acts are listed/promoted along with other events. Check it out and support local journalism in the bargain.
Feb 19 2024-
In the Dayton Metro area, Nick Kizirnis has been giving us great music through numerous iterations including The Nicky Kay Orchestra, The Mulchmen, solo albums/singles and much more. He's got a new album coming the first of May. The first single, the title track, Every Moment, is out now for you to hear, and the album is available for pre-order, all at the incredible music site, Bandcamp. Nick has also alerted fans that pre-orders will be filled early as soon as his health allows.

This site concentrates on live music in the immediate area which includes Springfield, Springboro, Xenia, etc.
Cincinnati and Columbus have loads of music but also have loads of coverage regarding that music.
When artists I believe are important to folks here in town have shows outside of the Dayton area like Riverbend, they’ll show up here.
Today I added an event at Bogart’s in Cinci simply because Bogart’s brings in loads of artists we typically aren’t going to see here in town, sometimes we haven't much to hear in our area and hey, it’s not THAT far to drive. Lol

Dennis J. Stewart has, for decades, been a strong presence in music promotion and commentary in the Dayton area, earlier through his founding of Walnut Hills Bar, the place known as the music bar for anyone who paid even a little attention. He continues today through his music program on WSWO 97.3 and his Facebook group Doctor Rock's Tuesday Morning Party.
